The Transfiguration is the last painting by the Italian High Renaissance master Raphael.
 
This piece depicts the biblical event where the voice of God confirms Jesus Christ's divine nature, and the resurrection. Jesus is seen here in his  heavenly glory- radiant and white, Elijah and Moses represent Christ's fulfilment of the Law and the prophets. This moment serves as reassurance both then and now because it proves that Jesus is God of the living and even death can't hold those He has called. (Moses sees the face of God and the promised land)
